Entertainment Industry Studies ...Leading the Future of Entertainment.

Where creativity, entertainment leadership and technology meet!

The Entertainment Industry Studies (EIS) program is designed to prepare the future leaders of the creative and entertainment industries through a liberal arts study of business practices. Building upon the principles that drive the production, marketing and consumption of creative product, students are challenged to think critically about these foundations while learning to provide innovative solutions. Students of the EIS program complete either the B.S. or B.A. curriculum with a major in Entertainment Industry Studies alongside a minor in a career-focused discipline such as Sports + Media, Theater + Drama, or Music Business amongst other academic options. Included in the EIS major are specialized courses in entertainment marketing, promotion and distribution, law and licensing, economics, leadership and management of entertainment organizations. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in any related entertainment field such as motion picture marketing and promotion, the non-profit arts sector, the world of publishing, sports administration, music, theme parks or comedy, EIS may be a good home for you.

Many of our graduates intern with and have gone on to work in all facets of entertainment. Some examples include:
