Opportunities for Graduate Students

University Ministries is here to serve you and help you find community and explore your faith during your time at Belmont. We can help you connect to a church, find outreach opportunities, provide pastoral care, or pray for you. If you have any questions or want to meet with someone from University Ministries please contact Josh Riedel at Joshua.riedel@belmont.edu

Interdisciplinary Worship Nights: Two to three times per semester, Graduate students from across the disciplines gather for a time of worship, prayer, and fellowship. For information about the next worship night please contact Josh Riedel at joshua.riedel@belmont.edu.

Missions and Outreach Opportunities: We have a number of opportunities for you to engage in the local, national, and international community through missions and outreach. Some graduate programs have discipline specific international mission trips while other trips are open to students from all programs. Please contact Micah Weedman at micah.weedman@belmont.edu to learn about how to get involved in missions and outreach.

Plunge: Plunge trips are service trips that take place over fall break to various urban communities in which participants learn about the relationship between faith, service, missions and community. Plunge trips are for freshman, but all trips needs student leaders and graduate students are welcome to serve as a leader.

Immersion: Immersion trips take place over spring break all over the United States from rural to urban communities as we learn more about what God is up to outside of Nashville.

Room In the Inn: Two nights a week from November 1 to March 31, Belmont partners with Room in the Inn to provide shelter, meals, and fellowship to six homeless guests. Each night volunteers are needed to help set up, cook meals, eat with the guests and serve as “Innkeepers” who stay with them overnight.

Graduate Student Christian Fellowship Groups: Some of our graduate programs have Christian fellowship groups that meet regularly throughout the semester for prayer, worship, discussion and fellowship. For more information about these groups or about opportunities in your specific program please contact Josh Riedel at Joshua.riedel@belmont.edu.
